Well, since I did nothing on Saturday but play on the PS3, I felt I needed to get out of the house today. I drove down to DC and took the Metro into the Mall. The Cherry Blossom festival was just a short walk south from the Metro station. I walked around the Tidal Basin and then visited some of the other monuments in the area. Lots of walking today 
I am not a professional photograper, and the weather was kinda lame today ... overcast, but I think I got some decent pics. Anyway ... didn't see too many of them falling today, so I couldn't time them

There was a kite festival today near the Washington Monument. I was hoping I would get one in the pic, then I could say it was the Vela Ciela

If it would have been warmer or sunnier, or I had someone like Akari to walk around with ... would have been the perfect day
