*brings a dozen Santa outfits to liven things up*
I hope I'm the only one getting hyped up over this wintery holiday. What are everyone's plans? Put up the ol' tree? Finished christmas shopping yet? Baked chocolate chip cookies for old Santa and St. Nick? (I'm sure our Nick would prefer beer and stake to milk and cookies, but anyway) Anyone attending or hosting a Christmas party?
I've always looked forward to decorating the tree, makes me feel like a little 9 year old kid that can't wait for Santa to come. I remember how I used to try staying up all night beside the tree waiting for the ol' guy to come, but always falling asleep... xD

| It's strange to think that I have never experienced a typical winter Christmas. Instead of snow, we get a blaring sun. Now isn't that cool...? |

Oh, what a pun! I've never heard one more appropriate. But seriously we're about 23 miles from the sun here. |

I've finished up most of my shopping and am heading out to send a bunch of gifts to my neices and nephew in NZ.
Also, I'm heading to se my parents for Christmas ...I usually do that every year.
No snow here yet ... but it sure is cold:)
I might have to liven the site up with some Christmas cheer.

Hah, maybe we need to replace the sakura petals from the banner with snowflakes XD
A shame you folks haven't had any snow either, kinda breaks the whole Xmas mood for the kids. I mean, Santa can't ride his sleigh without snow... maybe he's catching a bus this year. _________________ Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

In Byousoku, how about the scene where Takaki and Akari had just left the train station into the quiet snowing night?
Fripod, whereabouts do you reside? |

| It's probably gets hotter up where you are Junpei, but living in Melbourne has its own challenges. It gets a lot colder here too in winter, but the temperature sometimes stays at around 40 for weeks at a time in the summer (about 104ºF). |

| I strongly dislike really hot weather. (Who doesn't? =P) I can still vaguely remember the day when I had to endure 42-43ºC! That was literally the hottest day I had ever experienced. |

Since snow is almost unheard of in south Louisiana, they have a legend of Santa Claus (or "Papa Noel") coming down the Mississippi River on Christmas Eve in his alligator-drawn "sleigh." People these days still build bonfires along the river levee to guide him each year. It's really a big to-do.
Here's a site with some pics of the bonfire preparations:
