For those visitors who come to the site and might not have English as their primary language ... I would be glad to include a foreign language thread where you could discuss or post in the language of your choice. It would be fun for us English speakers to meet some new folks and maybe learn a little bit about your language as well.
Anyway ... if any visitors or regulars are interested, please let me know.
Thanks,
Laz

Might leave some of us monolingual posters feeling a bit left out... _________________ There are certain moments where some people should just be left unknown. |

Hey, isn't French also really similar to Romainian, they're both romance languages.
I heard that's why with Romania's entry into the EU there have been a lot of migrants from Romania to France.
BTW, it's OK not to speak french if you speak English.
With english you can speak to 80% of Swedes, and 2/3 of Germans also
I suppose English has now taken on the status of a sort of interlingua... or something. Cause' it's like a middle ground for conversation between all sorts of people. I mean, A Polish person can go to Spain or Latin America, and find someone to speak English to no problem, but they'd certainly have a hard time finding other Polish speakers.
Useful huh. |

Yep, it's pretty close to Romanian, and I actually speak French, but I'm really rusty and tend to shy away from holding a real conversation in French. Truth be told, I kinda hate the language, but it's useful to know more than one. _________________ Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

I took French in HS and college ... I can read and write it better than I can speak it or hold a conversation
Should we all learn Esperanto or some common language ?

I live in the U.S.A. so I've never really seen the need to learn anything other than English. I am trying to learn Japanese, though.
I don't think I could handle learning a language without knowing someone that actually spoke that language.
