Anime Vice is reporting that they've gotten a sneak-peek of the upcoming cover of Newtype magazine, and it says that Season #2 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is due to begin in April. Is this for real?

Well, unfortunately, Anime News Network is reporting that it's actually a re-broadcast of the first series. Of course, the only way of knowing anything for sure is for someone to get a hold of a copy of Newtype and see what it actually says.
Kadokawa-Shoten Reportedly Says April Haruhi Is Rerun
BTW, you wouldn't believe (or maybe you would) the rabid attitude of some fans to this latest news. Maybe I haven't been around other anime fans enough to know what they're really like. |

I was pretty excited when I saw this news ... it seems like it's been forever since I finished watching that series.

| Yeah, too bad though. But at least it doesn't necessarily negate any possibilities that a second season is in production. There's always a chance that it'll continue, and with the popularity of Haruhi, I can definitely imagine one already being made. If not, then I guess I'll just have to start buying the light novels, the first volume will be released April 1, 2009 by Yen Press here in the US. Although, I really do hope that it'll have a quick release schedule. |

| Yeah, I'm looking forward to the first novel release as well. I read the online translation of the nine published novels, but would still love to see them in print. |

A Japanese man has recently proposed and has also petitioned that he wishes to marry a 2D character. The character in question is no other than Mikuru Asahina from THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA. Why would someone do this you may ask? Well the man has stated that he wishes to be part of the 2D world. The world we live in is apparently too boring. Unfortunately since transdimensional technology is not yet possible and according to Futarama, won't be until after the year 3000, he wishes to legally marry a 2D character.
Ain't this just nice...? Oh Japan you never cease to amaze us.

I just Love this Junpei, it's Amazing
Now, I'm thinking...what anime character I'd like to meet (know)...Some (a lot)
Kanae (I'm also a sea person), Shiki Ryōgi (those eyes...), and...
One more example, that: Life imitates art. Like, Oscar Wilde (aphorism), "Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life."
I think this is the begining of something
P.S.:Sorry for this off topic, but I had to reply (I love this theme, Art imitating life and vice-versa) _________________

Amazing! XD
Yup they never cease to amaze us. I kinda admire him for stepping in front and say it though. Great courage...hmm...who would I marry
On a different note I am happy to hear about Haruhi 2. The craziness of it all makes it so addicting.
