Anime: Some of my favorite people involved in anime are Hideaki Anno, Akitaro Daichi, Yoshitoshi ABe, Hayao Miyazaki, Makoto Shinkai.
Writing: I don't necessarily have any favorite writers that really jump out. I do like Fyodor Dostoevsky, Alexandre Dumas, Jane Austen, John Steinbeck, George Orwell, William Shakespeare, and the four great classical novels of chinese literature. I also like Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy.
Music: I listen to what I end up liking. Can't really control that, so I have a wide variety of music that I like.
Painting: I don't really have that much favorites that I can name off the top of my head. Josefa de Obidos, Van Gogh, Picasso, Gustav Klimt
I have a pretty straightforward way of life sometimes. If I come across something I like, I'll see to it that I'll have it someday. I always love going to various museums. Some of the people I like are the people who open up bookstores. That's why I don't like traveling sometimes. I go in a bookstore with the intent of only buying one, maybe two books. But in less than half an hour, I have 20 books balancing as I wait in line for the cashiers.
My favorite architecture style is baroque. Some sculptors that I remember reading about was Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini. |

Let's see... There's not really anyone related to anime that I admire very much. I'm the same way as Fiction when it comes to music...
I really admire J.R.R. Tolkien and Susanna Clarke when it comes to writing.
As for art: I'd have to list Ansel Adam and my dad. Also, various photographers that aren't famous.

I hope you don't like the Mona Lisa. _________________ "This land is all too shallow

Ei, I'm a museum lover... , maybe that's why I love Paris so much...Louvre it's amazing and big , I already went 3 times and I need to go many more... . I know Phantast what you mean by Mona Lisa, but I can´t forget the first time I saw it...it's dificlt to explain, a mixture of feelings went across my body...you know , but were quickly forgotten to see the battalion of Japanese with their photo and video camera ...it's the price to see the pieces of art well known.
My favorite museum in Paris, is Guimet (Superb),with Asian art... http://www.guimet.fr/-English-, I could live there... .
What art your dad do? Phantast
I really love to visit EUA, mainly New York (Metropolitan, etc...),the problem is my wife, she wants to go shopping.
This is really a small world, Josefa de Obidos, she was born in Spain but lived and worked in Portugal...you'd love to visit Obidos...http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%93bidos_(Portugal), the city were she lived and died.
I had history of art in University (3 years), mainly in the Baroque, Luis XIV...you know when you need to lurn (and study) something you get a little tired... , but it's very good to visit museums, and understand what's behind the works...that's why all my friends and family doesn't like to go to museums with me, I'm very boring _________________

He paints in watercolor, oil and acrylic. He paints in a realism/impressionism style. I can PM you his art gallery if you want. _________________ "This land is all too shallow

Rant ahead.... I admire my sister for being an awesome artist (check out her dA: http://myreth01.deviantart.com/), I admire Eyeshine for being the only band I know that talks to the fans like equals and autographs stuff by hand every time. I admire my old psychology teacher for teaching me that you can have a great life if you create a reason to be happy every day.
I admire writer W. Shetterly for actually chatting with me and treating me like an equal even though I'm just a reader. I admire the 2 people that created World Of Goo because making a video game without a huge team seems incredible to me. And I admire anyone that can manage to run a website for more than 2 weeks and not go crazy... _________________ Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

That reminds me of one of the poets in Australia. We'd chat online frequently (at the time). He was generally a good guy. He'd always ask how has my writing come along, each time I'd share a little to show that I've improved since the previous time. I'm never too good at remembering names, but I do remember that his name was Philip.
Also with my writers group that I'm enrolled with, my instructor Debby Mayne is a nice person too. Very helpful with her critiques of my assignments. She loves my vivid style and originality. Not once has she made a negative comment from my assignments. One of the comments she made was something like, 'You are just the kind of fresh air that the industry needs.' It was something along those lines, hearing that from a professional writer was an amazing feeling.
Those are two more people that I admire, also a friend in West Virginia. I'll just name her by her nickname, Lissa. She's my favorite person to chat with online. Even though she's so busy with her life, it always seems like she goes out of her way to chat with me. The only way I can really repay that is with my writing. Each time I sent her something I was working on, she'd always reply with her own critique. I can't wait to get something published, I think she'd be among the first in my Thank You page. |

well really I don't like most classical artists
but cataclysm-X at deviantART has always been a inspiration for my portraits. she's a wonderful artist. i doubt I'll ever be as good as her. as for just who I admire in style and just enjoy their work, well I absolutely love Yoshitaka Amano's work, his style is so erratic but also beautiful. his work for the concepts of final fantasy I-X are all amazing
as for landscapes, shinkai is the only one I can think of, I normally don't like landscapes but shinkai-sama's work has inspired me to try it out
