I created a map in Google that follows the train route Takaki took to visit Akari. Bear in mind that this is still very much a work-in-progress. Any comments, suggestions or corrections would be welcome.

This is very interesting! Thanks for making this!
Are you sure you sure those times are right? I seem to remember Takaki meeting Akari later than 6:45. _________________ "...Kanae fanboys represent!" - Zitch |

Wow, that's impressive! I never realized just how far Takaki had to travel... _________________ Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

Yeah, I need to go back and check my times from the DVD. I was going by the reading on his watch, as well as whatever clocks were shown in each station.
I'm also thinking of changing the color of the lines to red to reflect the red marker he was using to trace on the map. I also need to zoom in closer and line-up the lines with the actual train lines. You can see these when you zoom in real close. It's amazing what's down there.
I've also heard that there's a way to render it in 3D. I have to check that out. |

I discovered something neat. At the top of the zoom bar for the map, click and drag the little man to a street, and you'll get a street level view. I did that, and here is what I think is the entrance to Gotokuji Station.
EDIT: I had second thoughts about showing the entire Google screen, so I edited it to show only the image. |

| I'm still making corrections and modifications to the map. I've just begun to sort out the different train lines that Takaki took. If anyone has more first-hand knowledge of these, I'd appreciate some help. So far, I've labeled two or three lines on the map, but I still have to get the trains on the right tracks in between the stations. Once done, I'll also be able to show the actual total distance traveled. |

So Gleowine..you´re counting with the snow storm? if so they only met a station waiting room (Iwafune station) around 23:17m (the train stoped station at 23:15m)
The train full stoped for about two hours, before Iwafune
You should enter this project in Makoto day...to me this a Art Project _________________

Thanks, IsUa. I'm going to skip entering the contest this year, but I appreciate your endorsement.
You're right about the time of arrival. I'm only using the times that are shown in the anime. The last time shown is 11:15 pm on the clock outside the station. I'll just reword it to say that he arrived at Iwafune at that time and later met Akari in the waiting room. |

I'm almost finished with the map. But here's where I need help. The program I use for screen capture will not work during DVD playback. I just need an image from the anime for each train station.
1. Gotokuji
2. Shinjuku
3. Musashi-Urawa
4. Omiya
5. Kuki
6. Nogi
7. Oyama
8. Iwafune
Can anyone help out? A web link would work best.
