ARRRGGGGHHHHHH ... I knew about the One Piece showing ... the DC anime club does a good job of publicizing these things.

Unfortunately I will be out of the State during that weekend Sad

I would do anything to see any of Makoto Shinkai's work on the big screen, or better yet, a drive in at night, with a clear sky shining with stars.

Check out local Cons or Cons within driving distance to where you are .. Michigan, right ? At Otakon they had 5 CM on the HD screen and Place Promised on a smaller screen. They have to be showing those at other Cons as well.
