If it comes out in America, it'll come out in Australia later on right? It better be soon because I'm never going to stop waiting for the DVD!

Makoto Shinkai (新海誠, Shinkai Makoto), born Makoto Niitsu (新津誠, Niitsu Makoto?) (born February 9, 1973) is a Japanese anime director, animator, and principal voice actor. A native of the Nagano prefecture in Japan, he studied Japanese literature in university. He traces his passion for creation to the manga, anime, and novels he read while in middle school. His favorite anime is Castle in the Sky by Hayao Miyazaki. Shinkai has been called the new Miyazaki in several reviews including Anime Advocates and ActiveAnime, though he disagrees with this comparison, stating that "it is an overestimation".

I agree. He is definitely the new Miyazaki, even better.

junpei there is usually a 6 month gap between when shinkai's works come out in US and in Aus. do what i plan and download a rip of the HD dvd until it comes out in aus.

out of interest laz what are your views on links to torrents? you haven't put up ay rules yet so i thought i should ask. if you dont mind i will put up a link for blue ray / hd dvd version when it comes out.

Yeah .... that's a good question .... hmmmm ... out of respect for the artists and their effort, I have stayed away from that kind of thing on this site. If people want to do that on their own that's ok ... but I'm kind of against posting that kind of thing here. Sorry Sad
