Saw this today and it basically summed up my feelings for this movie as well.

Only thing I disagree with is the Art score... -A? What? That's all I really think. I though the character designs were lovely they compliment the near photo realistic backgrounds nicely. Though the animation still needs improving.

His character animations are something i think could be improved. Though i'm very happy with where they are now. I think this review is good though~ although there are a few points i disagree with; it is pretty much how i feel about it.

I think might have posted this or some excerpts from this. This or a similar review prompted my "Is Shinkai too sappy" question a while back.

I really disagree with the last paragraph in that review ... the guy gave him a good score in everything ... but still kinda downgrades the movie in the review. I strongly disagree with this guy on some points , but hey ... he's a critic and I'm not Smile

Ya, odd isnt it? He explained more negative things then positive then gives the movie a better score then most! But I have not read any other reviews on that site so maybe it's usually negative.

I cannot believe that rating for art.
-A which basically says, "Yeah, the art was fantastic and blew me away, but I still didn't feel satisfied with it in the end..."
Oh well, I guess this is why I stick to writing reviews for books and not movies.
