Anybody else following Josh Whedon's Dr. Horrible show? He came up with the idea during the Hollywood writ=ers strike last year and created it with his own funding. I'm not all that much for musicals, but this one has me hooked and laughing. Plus there's not enough supervillian musicals around.

He's releasing the three episodes this week on the web only; they'll be taken down on July 20th. You can also buy them for $4 on iTunes (at least in the U.S. I'm not sure about other countries), and I find them well worth it. He's also releasing a DVD later with extras in them, which I'll probably break down and get too...

I wasn't much into his Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel series, but I did love his Firefly series. For me, he's probably the Hollywood writer and director who's story-telling style is closest to the type of anime I really enjoy.
