^I agree.
Australia's an excellent country but things you want from other countries take so long to get here. I really want to move to Japan if I get the chance and start a new physical life there. Only time can tell... |

I finally sat down and looked through the Pamphlet that came with the Voices/Place Promised collection set. It's pretty cool. There's an interview with Shinkai, and then notes on the various scenes in the film. There are a few pages on the tecnical aspects of how the film was created and then there's a Q&A with Tenmon concerning the music in the movie. I'd recommend getting this box set if you can. It also comes with a CD of the music from Voices.

For the scientifically disinclined (is that even a correct phrase? ) among us (*cough* me *cough*), could someone explain why Mikako didn't age? |

Not sure... even if your mind is dreaming your body will still age! Unless your bodly organs stop moveing and are preseved some how. I mean if your dreaming your body's still working.
I'm not scientifically inclined, nor am I inclined in spelling! But just seems liek comon sense taht you would age. Didnt she age? I didnt notice. |

This is the classic twin's paradox, click here for more info on this ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_paradox
Zitch, you're not going to solve to see if the ages in the movie are correct based upon the distances and time specified in the movie are you? ^_^
