Alright then! Thanks Laz I started one the other week when I heard a song that I thought'd work perfectly. Now i've got to get round to finishing it!
When I send it in i'll be sure to post some screenshots of the editing and that as proof that it's my own work.
Actually you can have a little sneak preview of the work in progress~

Laz, I'd like you to address the following questions:
How many contests can someone enter? I planned on entering 2 or 3 of them...
What would you do about fiction, inspired by Makoto Shinkai's works. A short story, maybe, limited to a specific amount of pages or words. (1000-2000? You choose.) Would you place that along with art, or with essays? Fiction would be an integral part of the contest, especially considering Mr. Shinkai's story telling and writing ability, and the ease and power capable of drawing from such an inspiration, would flourish some many nice works. To expand the currently narrow amount of viewers, fanfiction, should also be considered. Of course, you don't need to create a whole new category for this, (although it could work) it could be merged with the art or essay. This also would aid people who are not exactly visually artistically inclined yet do not enjoy the rigors nor the limits of the essay, and would rather be free from such boundaries.
Consider it. |

Hi Kaytifa,
Welcome to the Forums. Here's my only reservation ... I'm not sure how many posters I'm going to be getting from ComixWave, so I'm a little nervous about expanding the number of contests at this time.
I would say that you could enter as many as you like, but I'd probably make a rule that people were limited to one prize. So if you win all 3 ... you'd get one prize and the satisfaction of wining the others.
Yikes ... let me take a look at the contests again ... ok ..I like the fan fiction idea ... so that's in. I'l think of something for the prizes.

What about a space for musical compositions? Just throwing it out there. Maybe it could slot into one of the other ones? _________________ There are certain moments where some people should just be left unknown. |

This could really go on for ever.
Though in all seriousness music could slot in competition with videos, I feel. _________________ "...Kanae fanboys represent!" - Zitch |

Quick question: What are the entries going to be graded by? _________________ "This land is all too shallow

Note to self .. no more contests.
We can set these up so that people vote on which they think is best ... which would probably be the best thing.

Hahaha... I guess it's one of those things that are really complicated until you have them set up. _________________ "This land is all too shallow

I'll just find a hosting site and load up everything there and then set up polls for the different contests and people can vote that way.
