(Waiting in Musashi) (Inside Omiya sation)
(Waiting for train in Omiya) (the departure should be 17:04 and train arrive 17:15 in the board) (Kuki)
(Arriving Nogi) (Leaving Nogi)
(Arriving Iwafune) (Step inside waiting room 23:16)

| I believe the whole trip would have taken about 3 hours, even without the delay due to snowstorms. As for Iwafune, I read somewhere that it doesn't actually have a waiting room -- Shinkai adapted it from another station. |

Thanks for the photo, IsUa. I didn't realize before that the anime scene was of Gotokuji station. The photo makes it clearer. On the map, it shows the Macdonalds near the station.
Yes, tinyredleaf, I believe too that Shinkai must have created the waiting room for Iwafune. I couldn't see where it would be on the satellite image for the map, and there was no street level view for that far north of Tokyo. There appears to be just the platform, as shown in the scene where Akari is saying goodbye to her parents. I'll look some more to be sure.
