Hey Folks,

Well .. it has been pretty quiet around here since the GSD event, myself included.

So, I'm going to issue a challenge to the group. Over the next week ... break out one of Shinkai's movies and watch.

I keep putting off watching Place Promised, so that'll be my challenge. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town this weekend, so does it count if I wait till the following week?

I don't know Laz. I have exams throughout the whole of next week and I'm barely studying, though it'd be nice to whip out a Shinkai film and finally watch it on the new big screen. It's quite big - 2ft x 4ft.

A new Harman/Kardon receiver is coming in, though not this week. Using ADV's Place Promised DVD to test the rumbling of distant thunder and the sound of jets flying over head on the 7.1 setup would be very cool... Smile

Got the chance to show a new friend 5 Centimeters Per Second. It's one of my favorites to share. Been a very long time since I watched it. I loved it. I teared up multiple times during the movie =(

Haha Takaki is such a douche bag to Sumida, how dare he >=( Treats her like he's a friend to Sumida when really he doesn't care at all. Gives her a cold look when she finally works up the courage to tell him how she feels.

Then he wonders why she was crying?

Since Im coming down with a cold right now ...Im sure I'll be on the couch relaxing all weekend ... so I'll get to the movies this weekend.

Just watched 5 Centimeters Per Second on the projector and even watching it in my room pitch black on the wall.......it was like a watching artwork in gallery.
