I've been away for two weeks and I know I've missed a lot Smile

I guess I'll be catching up this weekend.

Well, after immersing myself several times in the Emma anime, I finally got to read #6 and #7 of the manga, which wrap up the story of William and Emma. I have to say, I liked the anime ending better. The last chapters of the manga seemed overly dramatic and tied up the loose ends too neatly.

(This was the opposite from, for example, the Lord of the Rings: I liked Peter Jackson's movie, but I liked Tolkien's book better.)

Still, I love Kaoru Mori. She's a nut, but a genius, nonetheless.

Just finished reading Yankee-kun to Megane-chan and it's by far the most hilarious thing I've ever read in my life. I actually recommend it to anyone, it has kept both me and my sister laughing from start to end.

I started reading a manga called "Bartender" .. surprisingly enough, it's about a bartender Smile It's actually pretty interesting. I have a few friends that are bartenders and it gives a little bit of insight into bartending and drinks, etc.

I've seen the manga summary but I'm not sure if it's worth a read, does it have any other elements like comedy etc. or is it just about a bartender giving out advice to customers?

Speaking of which, I've been looking for a new manga to pick up so I could use some recommendations... Basically, I'm looking for anything shonen with a good story and art and a little bit of comedy Very Happy

It's actually not bad. The supporting characters are really what is going to drive the story and they're not bad. It's light, and it's got some interesting bartender/alcohol type info in it Smile

Hmm I suggest looking into this Canadian made comic called "Scott Pilgram" it's formated alot like a japanese manga volume. Just that it read's like a normal Westen book.

It's quite fun to read I feel.
