I've been working so much I haven't even paid attention to the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC Sad

I went last year and it was awesome.

I still can't get over the amazing fact that they blossom only once a year.

If cherry blossom trees are planted down here, when would they blossom? (if they could)

Junpei, In melbourne at least, cherry blossom trees flower in Winter, which has a similar temperature and level of light intensity to the Japanese spring.

Hmmm I was thinking that, but I just had to ask anyway.

Had a quick search on the web. Seems the most suitable climate for the trees would be the far south-eastern region, particularly Tasmania. I hope to go down there in future.
