Hey guys,

I was once again trawling through the montage at the end of the film, when I stumbled across these consecutive images. They appear for only a fraction of a second each, and I had to go through frame by frame to get a clear look at them.

We all know very well Takaki's experience of being separated from Akari through the events in the film. What we don't really know is Akari's story, her longing, or her sorrow, as all we hear from her is basically the dialogue between her and Takaki. I believe that these two images, when viewed together, constitute the poignant image in the entire film, of the nature of the relationship between Akari and Takaki, and also give us some insight into the character of Akari.

Take a look at them, study them closely, and tell me what you think. (I hope my ranting has not been too incoherent Smile

I'd also like to add that these images appear as these lyrics from One more time, One more chance play.
"And the words I never said: I love you.”

I think an apt title for these.

You're absolutely right ... I guess the only thing we have to go on for Akari would be the letter she wrote that she was going to give to Takaki and that in the end, she seems to be better adjusted than Takaki.
