I was disappointed at the anime ending of Elfen Lied.
Managed to buy The Girl Who Leapt Through Time DVD today.

Are you sure you searched properly? Simply go to Google and type in "sola anime" where you can find it straight away in wikipedia. |
Cheers! I obviously didnt look properly~
I'm definately gonna check this out! |

Hey Junpei,
I was flipping through the latest issue of Anime Insider, and in the "mangareleases" section they listed "Sola, Vol. 1." Is this the same as the anime you mentioned? Here's the synopsis from the mag:
"Matsuri is a Yaka, a powerful supernatural being who can only appear at night, and the human boy Yorito is the first friend she's ever had."
It sounds interesting. |

| BTW, here's an example of how out of touch I am with anime fandom. I got Lucky Star, Disc #2 (I never saw the fansubbed version) and was falling out laughing at Konata's portrayal of a character from the anime "Maria Watches Over Us." Unfortunately, I didn't get the full import of the joke. Then I picked up a copy of Otaku USA, which had on its sample DVD the first episode of "Maria." So now I've got to go back and watch Lucky Star again. Don't hate me for being such a newbie at this stuff. |

I just got done watching the Luck Star series last week ... I really liked it. Lots of good funny stuff.

Yes that's it. You might be looking through the manga though I was talking about the anime.
Also I read somewhere Sola was anime of the year in 2007 and once you've watched it, you'll see why. |

For some reason, I didn't really like Sola though. Gave up somewhere in episode 7? The animation could be argued to be good but sadly, I think it's lacking in the story department.
Too much like Air/Kanon. _________________ "A word after a word after a word is power." --Margaret Atwood

I could say you are right except I don't mind as long as there's a component in it that I like, such as the cuteness of Misuzu which I must admit captivated me in the beginning. I thought the music was really good too.
It's a shame you gave up on Sola though. The ending was great, almost teary. |

Just finished the final episode of The Third. I know it has its flaws, but still quite enjoyable.
