Just wondering if anyone else has watched this series. This one's easily one of my favorite series. I've always liked Yoshitoshi ABe's art style, and with this series, he had complete control of the series. It's a sort of realistic fantasy. Another thing I love about it is the depth of the characters. Here's a picture of two of the main characters, Rakka (sitting), and Reki (standing)

I started it, but only watched 2 or 3 episodes before I got caught up with other things. I'll have to go back and rewatch it from the beginning before long.

Been on my 'to-watch' list for absolutely ages. Will get round to it eventually.

This is one of my most favorite anime of all time. The best description for the series is that it's a deeply spiritual anime about sin and redemption without at all being religious.

Yeah, that's a great way of describing it. I remember a couple years ago, there was an awesome quizilla quiz. It wasn't the average 'what's your favorite color' 'if this was that what would you do' kind of thing. It actually had well written questions and answers. Some of them were longer than a paragraph (both q and a) and none were fewer than two sentences. Unfortunately, I looked for it a few days ago, but it's no longer up.

Aye, before this series came along, I was a fan of such anime as Patlabor (the movies, at least) and Jin-Roh: Wolves in Human Armour and have to saw the first five minutes into the pilot episode I was completely hooked - not for Rakka, as most people are, but for the crow.
