Anyone ever read it? Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is, simply put, amazing. It's one of the best books I've ever read- and I've read quite a few. Susanna Clarke is an amazing author: She writes in a Victorian-era style, but she has her own personal touches to it. Her style comes off as being very clean, very elegant and sometimes ironic; I can't even describe all of the small touches she puts in that add so much to her book.
Between the complex story, fleshed-out characters, incredible writing style and witty humor, I'm amazed that this book isn't more well-known than it is.
It's a veritable tome, but if you can get past that you should definitely read this book.
