Let's see, lived in Alaska all my life. Been all over the interior Alaska and south-central Alaska, as well as different parts of western Alaska. Seen temperatures ranging from -65F to 105F while living here. Currently live in Valdez. It's a nice place once you get used to the idea of having to go 300 miles for a regular store. We do have a Safeway store, but I can't think of anything else.
Going to be 23 in a couple months. As a writer, I have plenty of dreams and aspirations, all of which I'd love to follow through with. The one at the forefront is visiting all of Arnaldo Pomodoro's sculptures in the world. One of my stories is sort of inspired by the Sphere Within Sphere, well somewhat. It's started off as my working title for the fantasy novel series and then looking it up. I came across an image of the Sfera con Sfera at the Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. If I'm able to follow trough with those dreams of traveling, I think that'd be my first trip.
I guess I'll mention my job, too; Chocolatier Apprentice. I am doing my own testing of Chocolates to see things like longevity of fillings/flavors, Temperature conditions, and will soon start Paint tests and Environmental conditions for filling preparation.
Living in Madison has some perks and downfalls. Supposedly top 10 cities in the USA to live (I think it's actually 3), largest Farmer's Market in the US, 2nd in the world, and most restaurants per capita than anywhere else. Granted I'm getting this information from what my teacher told me.
Downfall is there's not much for the Otaku culture in entertainment. 2 "decent" places, both card shops, and the arcades are lacking in proper management. I work Saturdays so I can't go to Anime Club (like I would want to anyway, and I have my reasons). You have to be careful for there are a lot of micro-communities. Walk into Hippieville then a couple blocks it's BusinessWorld, then soon LowClassSocietyHill (I'm not kidding). At least the parks are clean and maintained, Lakes are kept good, and lots of food to sample.

Wow - we are from all corners of the globe...
I am currently in Brisbane Australia, although I was originally from Sydney - Gosford actually. It is nice to see some other Aussies here too - Happy Australia day for yesterday!
Some basic info, my name is Craig, I am 36 years old. I have been an anime fan for years - started out with Robotech on TV, originally back in mid 80's (ooh now I feel old) but only really started getting into it in the last couple of years. Recently started converting my wife into an anime fan, though she still enjoys dubs more than subs - the process is slow
I bought Mikoto Shinkai's Voices several years ago and fell in love with his work instantly. Such a beautiful tale. He is able to weave such wonderful stories that you can't help but want to get involved emotionally in.
Eh... that's enough from me... feel free to look me up on Facebook - I have just joined the Makoto Shinkai Appreciators group there so feel free to send a friend request to me (Craig Batty) if you wish. _________________ No matter where you go, there you are.
Cbatty ... the funny thing is ... you're not that old It's good to see another Robotech fan ... if you haven't gotten into the other Macross series, definitely check them out.

Ay, Robotech was an awesome show. I remember watching that, I hated waiting to watch more. Even though it'd repeat several times, I still hated waiting. It's a shame that Macross 7 is lost as far as bringing it to the US. If only there weren't so many disputes.
Being young feels awesome. Each second further in your life is something you can never have again, treasure life.
You only live once.
You can say that again. I'm not 20 yet and I'm crying after my 15's and 16's.
Heaps of Americans here. ^_^
Well, I'm form Romania. And I am going to say it again, that I hate it. I'm master planning to get out of here as soon as I can. I live in a city next to the Black Sea. We are actually the port city of the country.
You Romanians here know it ^_^
As much as I hate Romania, I love my city since it is not that big so as a person that has problems with direction ( as in I get lost easily ) its really great to live in.
I'll post some pictures of the sea as soon as I find them ^_^
