Wow, compared to these pics my room looks so dull... Aside from some cat posters my room is kinda empty. My parents would freak if I'd put up my super large Lord of the Rings poster or any others XD But I don't mind, most people say it looks like a guy's room so I'm happy that it's not girly at all ^_^ _________________ Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
Junpei love the clock on your desk :X:X:X
Janny Ohh I know how parents can get. I have to move slowly to make my room back the way it was XD not to shock mum with the comeback of it all. I am only allowed to use the walls. My poor walls . I start with my drawings and head slowly to more serious stuff XD
Dealing with parents is tricky. You lucky people here that don't have that problem.
No matter how old you get ... you always have to deal with parents ha ha ... it just changes Instead of my room it's now that I don't visit them enough ha ha ... enjoy them while you can

Exactly Laz, it's the voice of the wisdom .When we are young we know everything and later we do the same as our parents did

My camera's been busted for years, so I have to use the cell camera that has crappy quality, sorry for the lack of light and, well, everything. Anyway, here's what my desk area looks like: http://i40.tinypic.com/rj1a4i.jpg
I have a bunch more cat posters, but my mom said that I'm close enough to wallpapering the ceiling already, so I should stop. XD I'm a Tomb Raider fan, so that old Lara Croft calendar's been there since 2002... _________________ Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
Nice otaku areas !
How I wish I had one like that -sparkling eyes-
My comics are kept in boxes because somehow when my parents see them they get angry. >_>
"Shouldn't you be studying now?"
thats what they always say.

Well, I've had the audio in my main anime viewing setup upgraded since I've posted pictures. Name, I've upgraded my receiver to a Harman Kardon AVR 254 7.1 system and my front speakers were replaced by my dad's old Kenwood JL-730s.
Here's what the setup looks like from the couch:
Right speaker with the cover off:
I had to replace the foam surrounds on the 12" woofers as they were rotted out. Not uncommon in speakers from 1983, and not very difficult or expensive to fix, if you know where to get the materials (cost me all of $40 to get the replacement surrounds, gaskets, and glue).
My audio setup is composed of two of those full-sized speakers and a Harman Kardon 5.1 speaker setup. Here's the 100-Watt RMS 10" subwoofer next the the Kenwood speaker as a comparison:
In truth, I almost want to upgrade the sub as it looks pretty insignificant when compared to the 12" woofers on the Kenwoods, but it can go deeper and louder than the Kenwoods can. The combination sounds great put together as the sub and kenwoods seem to filter out any standing wave issues at the low frequency ranges, making it sound very level down to around 30 Hz. In the long run, I'm aiming for it to sound level down to 20Hz, but that will bring in some significant costs and the setup really does sound good as is (The closest to a quality theater-like audio setup that one of my audio-expert friends has observed; heck, it sounds better than several of the local theaters). For a comparison, most rock music really doesn't go down below 40-60 Hz.
The sub-woofer came with 5 satellite speakers as part of a Home-theater setup. Here's some shots of them:

(Really need to dust, don't I?)

Right Rear Surround:
Left Rear Surround:
Left Surround:
In truth, not many titles use the full 7.1 surround setup; almost all DVD and BDs right now are 5.1 channels. Still, I'm set when titles really start including 7.1 channel tracks, and I would have had extra speakers left over anyways if I had setup a 5.1 system.
You may have noticed all of the manga in few of the shots? Those are all my girlfriend's books. Here's a shot that spans about 1/2 of her collection:
Also, you may have noticed a figure in a box on the left Kenwood speaker. That's a Asuka figure that was signed by Tiffany Grant (English voice actor for Asuka) and given to me at Babelcon:
Oh, that's a "Grave of the Fireflies" candy tin on the left, and an Edward doll (from Cowboy Bebop) laying down on top.
I have more pics, but I think I've spammed enough pictures in this post already... My next upgrade is to get a larger TV. What I currently have is a 32" 1080i CRT screen. Great color reproduction, especially compared to many LCDs, but has some fuzziness issues on subtitles on the bottom corners. Might be due to age, though.
