Kanae should just confess to Takaki.. But i doubtfully think Takaki will go out with her and accept her love ... Since @ epi 3.. Still, won't have any regrets there huh.
Kanae know that she can't be with Takaki, who's always looking so far ahead..

I'm really not sure about this! As much as the current way the story unfolds is brilliantly done, with Kanae's sadness, i think it would've been interesting to see how Takaki responded. I think maybe we would've seen Takakis harsher side if she'd actually said it. I think this way, Kanae was still able to hold onto her love for him and it wasnt smashed into the ground by Takaki, was good.
I voted not sure, because i really arent. |

Not sure.
But if it was...well *laughs* then again it was me.
I didn't tell him.
And I never will.
The reason...
Well, I guess I was just too terrified of losing him. _________________ ~ Even the smallest candle can banish a little darkness ~ |

Keeping in mind Takaki goes on to string out another girl for 3 years with, to his own admission, no progress in their relationship.... I would say that Kanae saw a landmine and did not step on it.
It was a most interesting look he gave her though. I saw it as patronizing more than anything, like he knows what she feels for him is nothing in the long run, even if they do go out. Although, maybe he did want to feel more than he actually did. So, sad but still patronizing in that he does not think she can really understand his depression and remoteness.
