In truth, I was thinking on planning on when it would be best for you, and let the slackers locally come if they want. How about Nov. 8th?

Back to Menasha's Blade of the Immortal post ...
I started watching it and liked it. The subs were coming out really slowly though.

BY JOVE, I THINK HE'S GOT IT!!!
EMMA: A VICTORIAN ROMANCE (1ST SEASON), that is. I loved the manga, and I'm loving the anime even more. I was hoping for a dub version, but this sub-only one from Rightstuf is still a pleasure to watch.
Also, I think the new thin-style of packaging the DVDs (1/4 inch case) is the way to go. The old style (1/2 inch case) was just a lot of wasted space, especially if you wanted to pack your bookcase with extra titles. |

I saw the fist episode or two of that and I liked it. I need to add that to my list.

| Have finished Season 2 of Emma, which concludes the series. This is the kind of stuff that thrills me to no end. If you like old-fashioned romance stories, it's worth a look. The animation is not up to Shinkai standards, but they did a lot with ensuring historical accuracy in the details. Even the sound effects received special attention. |

I watched the first dvd and I liked it. Interesting story and the characters are good too. I'll have to keep watching to see where it goes.

This is sort of a "life imitates art" thing. Could this be the work of an anime fan?
Police Want to Know Who Left Piano in Massachusetts Forest
Monday , November 24, 2008
HARWICH, Mass. —
Harwich police have a musical mystery on their hands: Who left a piano in the middle of the woods? And why?
The Baldwin piano discovered in the Bells Neck woods appears to be in perfect working condition and had a matching bench as if it had recently been played.
The piano was discovered Saturday by a woman walking along a path inside a conservation area at the woods.
Another question police would like to answer is how the piano got to such a remote location. The piano is heavy and it took more than a half dozen men to load it onto a truck to remove it.
Police said they've notified other police departments in the area to see if anyone has reported a missing piano.

Reading this immediately made me think of Piano no Mori. I've never seen it, only read about it. Rather uncanny, don't you think? |

Maybe it's just the outside look but the piano seems quite small. I can't believe it took a half dozen men to carry it.
This is quite an interesting mystery. It's highly likely that some deep music lovers brought it into the woods for a final play before leaving it in a "dramatic" way, if you know what I mean.
Keep us updated if there's more news Laz. |

It is either tribute or a kindred spirit. Musical instruments as a kind of public installation is a thing that's been done elsewhere. I think of a park in Toronto or some such with a (weatherproof) pipe organ....
As for the weight.... pianos have a looooot of solid metal on the inside |
