Hmmm .. I actually found a place that is hostin g 5 CM Per Second and Voices. Does anyone know where we can find some of the shorts on the inter webs?

There is still the page that Zitch set up with the Youtube links (see General Discussion forum).

Also, Shinkai's website has "Other Worlds" showing. If you go there, the link is in the left-hand column, the next one under the image for "She and Her Cat."

Also of interest, Amazon.co.jp still has the Region 2 DVD for"Egao" in stock.

YEah Gleo, I still have that page up, though a few of the videos were taken down by the users or for copyright violations. Still, that page might still be good for figuring out which videos to get, if nothing else.

I've finally got off my rear end and got Ventrilo on my home server (Ok, so I was sitting on my rear end in the office and copied the Ventrilo software onto my home server via SSH, but I digress...). I still need to get home and open up my router to the general internet. Unfortunately, Ventrilo won't let more than 8 connections on, but that should be plenty for weekly chats. We'll see when average participation goes up to that or if we are planning some bigger event.

In anycase, feel free to IM or PM me this evening or tomorrow if I haven't updated here with connection info.

K, have an 8-slot Ventrilo server available at the following settings:

Hostname: rakushun.nickistre.net
Port Number: 3784

I have no passwords set for normal users as of now. Also, I have to kick off the server manually if the server had to be restarted, so it might be down once in a while if I forget to start it. Otherwise, it should be up and available for use if you wish.

Let's plan on getting some kind of regular meeting going next, I guess.

I've been mulling over an idea for GSD. How about a radio-style format using Ventrilo? A couple of things we could do:

1. Panels. Choose a few topics for discussion, then devote about an hour (or less) to each topic, with just 3 or 4 people on each panel. These could be spaced out over the course of the day.

2. Announcements. Give periodic updates on the schedule, contests, etc.

3. Music. Perhaps a live program for performers, or recorder music during the breaks. (Laz mentioned this before)

4. Theatre. Like fanfiction, except performed live. Or maybe even commercial-style parodies advertising Shinkai-inspired products and services.

Just a few suggestions.

I've got things going again with CoMix Wave and Crunchy Roll. Sunami-san at CoMix Wave was happy to see that we're already talking about the Promise CD ... that's their big push for now.

As I mentioned in the Chat, I've been invited to visit the CoMix Wave offices in Tokyo when I go to Japan over the New Year. I'm staying about as far away from Tokyo as you can get ...so I'll have to see if I can swing the trip.

Hopefully we can get something decided soon between Crunchy Roll and CoMix Wave and then we can go ahead and set a date for the event.

how many, commercials? i know from Taisei and The Shinano Mainichi Shimbun (i belive one with 2 diferent songs)
