Great pics! You've definitely got the audio system in full effect there

Indeed! I had put in The Place Promised in Our Early Days though this system (I.E., on this particular reciever and through the Kenwoods) for the first time the other day; the audio engineers for the English dub really knew what they were doing. Jets flying over head sounded just like the F-16s flying overhead from the recent airshow. Distant thunder really sound fantastic through the setup, with the full sized speakers and subwoofer putting out a deep rumble that sounds distinct from the clear dialog from the center channel without overpowering it, while the surrounds expands the sound field as to sound like you're witnessing a very distant thunderstorm.
In fact, I'm finding that the domestic anime companies really do hire some excellent audio engineers for 5.1 English dubs for DVDs and Blueray discs. It's something you really don't notice much unless you have the audio system to play it out on. |
