In my youth (this is going back quite a ways) I was a fan of Transformers (G1 and G2) as well as Neon Genesis Evangelion and Bubblegum Crisis: 2040 (the second installment) but these days I tend to stick with the anime that contain a fair amount of psychology - things like Haibane-Renmei (Charcoal Feathers Of Old Home) and Jin Roh: Wolves in Human Armour.
But aside from those, there are no beating the classics of Gundam Wing, Car Captors (I am a BIG Dadoji Tomoyo fan!) and yes, even the cardiac-inducing Azumanga Diaoh (Miss Sakaki always)

I have memories of catching Bubblegum Crisis 2040 on SBS when I was young and being disturbed by it.  Embarassed

I like Jin-Roh and Evangelion a great deal. I guess Eva was my first favorite anime, picking up the series got me to start collecting.

Bubbegum Crisis also scared me as well, watching it back when it was on SBS, probably because of the content it had (killer robots in particular) but somehow the only reason I kept watching was to find out what always happened to Nene. She always seemede to get herself in trouble, quiaff?

Evangelion holds a place in my heart I must say, but Rin Roh... even my sister says I am addicted to that movie, watching it (still) twice a week and literally ordering her to buy me new copies of it on dvd when I wear one out!
