I am from Sydney, Australia and while I have dreams and expectations to travel abroad to places like China and Vietnam and Thailand, I seriously doubt that I will ever see any of the places that I always dreamed of.

When not writing (I am a frelance journalist), I walk - everywhere, to the point that over the last few years, I have been taken to the goal of doing a cross-country walk (Sydney to Perth) for charity (namely the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation).

I've often been asked what is so good about walking and why do I do it. Every time my answer is the same: Why not?

Anyway, from tonight I will offline for at least as I am going to be walking over to Katoomba and back (a good 150 kilometer round trip) so catch up with you all at a later time.

Wow, that's impressive. I enjoy walking but I just do it for the sake of being alone, getting fresh air and listening to music for an hour or so.

For me, it's about living life on the road, taking one day at a time. I suppose I never saw the point in following the mindless drones with getting jobs - just taking to the roads and living off the land : that's what I am doing with my life.

Thank you, I shall. However even taking photos, I have no way to upload them, as I only have a mobile phone (with camera) and 3/4 of the time, there is no way for me to upload them on a computer!

Not sure what kind of phone that you have (I've got a Blackberry) but I downloaded an app called itookthisonmyphone ... it uploads pictures from your phone to various picture sites (I use photobook). Works pretty well for me.
