For the latest from Japan I would highly recommend the Unofficial site put together by Daike ... http://daike.hp.infoseek.co.jp/index.html he translates into English for those of us non-Japanese reading folks.

Daike at the Makoto Shinkai Fan Web had posted a message about these Forums (http://daike.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cgi-bin/newsboard/newsboard.cgi?Num=1). YAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I cannot give enough praise to Daike and his site for being the only place on the internet that I could really find anything on Mr. Shinkai. The information on that site is excellent. I highly recommend you visit it.
