I don't know if we can talk about scanlation, (it's not specify in the rules) but do you have the smallest information or scan about the manga version of Yakusoku? (there's a scan in the daike's site but no more) I really want to read it |

i know that voices of a distant star novel is in English now.
not sure about Kumo no Muko but if it is not I would say it will be soon.
It is on wiki but it does not say that it has been translated.
Manga
The Place Promised in Our Early Days is also being currently serialized as a manga in Afternoon. Serialization began in February of 2006. The story is by Makoto Shinkai while the art is by Mizu Sahara |

Hmmmmm ... now to try to figure out a way to get our hands on the manga
If anyone finds out anything about the manga and it's availability, please post on the board.
Here's a review of the manga ... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/voices-of-a-distant-star/manga
I found it on Amazon and have just ordered it I'll give a review once I've read it.

i went in to the city yesterday and asked at all the manga shops i know of. it was not on any of their order lists so either it is not in english or it has not come to australia yet (nothing ever does i am still waiting for byousuko).
I also flipped through google and could not find a fan scan or any mention of an english version so it looks like we are out of luck. |

I never knew there is manga for this? But the Anime is always better since you can feel the mood and emotions expressed.
Like all others, The Place Promised is beautifully magical. The ending isn't as sad as the other two but it was very good. Memories are very powerful after all. |
